A tracked ground robot that drives planned routes on its own, avoids obstacles and streams everything it sees to a browser dashboard. The same software runs in simulation and on the rover's on-board NVIDIA computer, so behaviour is developed and tested before it reaches the hardware.
Capabilities
Autonomous driving to a point or along a route, with repeatable scheduled patrols lasting at least 12 hours on a single charge
Obstacle avoidance based on a 3D obstacle map from lidar and a depth camera
GPS/RTK positioning outdoors and SLAM indoors, where there is no GPS
On-board AI: people and vehicle detection, collision prediction, detection of excavations and descending stairs
Browser dashboard for manual control, live 360° video and configuration on a computer, tablet or phone
Safety layer: drive stop on communication loss, tilt protection and return to base on low battery
Route recording with video, sensor data and safety decisions, replayable in the dashboard
